The jokes don’t bother her - never offended - but she never really laughs at the jokes - she just smiles and glances away. By the end of her journey - we see a person go from confident - to truly worried and grapple with the fact - they - and she - might lose and die. A key to BOOM is we think at fist she is a loner - but at the core - she loves her team - even those she finds a bit juvenile - they are her family and she she’s all in and cares deeply.

She will flash a bra secured/covered chest for a laugh - and slap a wholesome girl/or guy - on the ass for a joke - or someone/anyone uncomfortable with themselves. She’s a woman with a ‘frat guys’, sense of humor. She finds people too PC - people to be made of fun - in her mind- to ‘loosen’ them up. Life is life and short and it’s all B.S. - in her mind. One life - better have fun and live it to the fullest - if not - what a waste. By the end - we see she actually portrays a life of - to the fullest no matter what - but when faced with certain death - she desperately wants to live and want’s and craves a normal life.

MONOLOGUE CHOICES

*Please only choose ONE monologue from the list and send the same monologue in two different styles (i.e. Happy & Sad or Angry & Indifferent, etc).

OPTION 1: The Fury of written by the great Charles M. Shulz, from "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!"

I was robbed! I spent the whole night waiting for the Great Pumpkin when I could have been out for tricks or treats! Halloween is over and I missed it! You blockhead! You kept me up all night waiting for the Great Pumpkin and all that came was a beagle! I didn't get a chance to go out for tricks or treats! And it was all your fault! I'll sue! What a fool I was. And could I have had candy apples and gum! And cookies and money and all sorts of things! But no, I had to listen to you! You blockhead. What a fool I was. Trick or treats come only once a year. And I miss it by sitting in a pumpkin patch with a blockhead. You owe me restitution!

OPTION 2: Pleasure in the Details written by Helen Childress

My parents got divorced when I was 5 years old, and I saw my father about 3 times a year after that. And when he found out that he had cancer he decided to bring me here and gives me this big pink seashell sand says to me "Son, the answers are inside of this." and I'm all like "What?" and then I realize that the shell is empty there's no point to any of this it's all just a...a random lottery of meaningless tragedy in a series of near escapes...So I take pleasure in the details...a Quarter Pounder with cheese...those are good. The sky about 10 minutes before it rains...A moment when your laughter becomes a cackle and I sit back and I smoke my Camel Straights and I ride my own melt.

OPTION 3: Entire Life Behind Things written by Alan Ball

Ricky: It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing. And there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it, right? And this bag was just...dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. That's the day I realized that there was this entire life behind things, and this incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid eber. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember...I need to remember. (distant) Sometimes there's so much beauty int he world I feel like I can't take it...and my heart is going to cave in.
